When you arrive in Puerto Bemberg, a delicious “guarapo” will be waiting for you, a native drink made from cane juice; and other flavored waters, to start savoring the customs and culture of the place. A good start to a journey rich in experiences.
During this break, the guide will explain the importance of the Atlantic forest ecosystem that will be discovered in greater depth at the beginning of the tour. The walk starts from Posada Puerto Bemberg to La Matera where they will learn the secrets and tips of the “Jesuit mate ceremony” and how to do to achieve the richest mate; and introduction to the history of Misiones, the original peoples, the Jesuits and the yerba mate: origin and evolution.
The walk continues to the Salto Guatambú, along a jungle path for forty-five minutes. It will be an immersion in the Atlantic jungle, during which they will learn to recognize various species of flora, and to spot different birds or recognize their songs. Then we will go to the jetty to navigate the Paraná River, arriving at the fabulous Yasí Falls where we can take a spectacular bath at the foot of the waterfall.
